Lake Narracan is an artificial lake on the Latrobe River built to supply cooling water for the nearby brown coal-fired power stations.

It is also used for recreational purposes, including waterskiing, jet skiing, swimming, recreational fishing, bush walking and even hovercrafting.

On the southern shore there is a caravan park and campground.

A number of user groups utilise Lake Narracan including the Latrobe Valley Model Aero Club and the Latrobe Valley Water Ski Club.

The Latrobe Valley Water Ski Club hosts a number international, national, state and club events each year. The course is internationally recognised.
